Real estate agents are independent contractors and there are over 10,000 in Greater Vancouver alone –  and most own some version of their name .com /.ca not realizing that this is a poor marketing strategy. Owning your name is great for branding purposes but does very little in acquiring new leads for your business. Simply put your prospects aren’t searching for you, cause they don’t know you. Understanding search behaviour you begin to realize the potential of targeted keyword domain names.

Your leads are searching for a specific type of property, a particular location, or a specific service e.g. “Yaletown Condos,” “Coal Harbour Real Estate ,” or “West Vancouver Mortgage Broker.” Your domain name should reflect what people are searching.

As digital marketers and online leads specialists we often tell people that they don’t need to stop at owning just one domain. The best strategy is to own numerous domains that act as highly targeted lead generating funnels. Have 3-4 lead gen sites and easily drive new buyer leads into your CRM where you can then brand them with your personalized name.com
